June 9 & 10: Mandy Patinkin, Dress Casual with Paul Ford on Piano

Tony and Emmy-winning actor/singer/storyteller Mandy Patinkin appears at the Music Center to perform selections from his favorite classic artists. Patinkin is perhaps best known for his roles in the film, The Princess Bride, and the television series, Criminal Minds, but his first love is as a stage performer. Shows begin at 8:00 p.m. both nights. Tickets $35 - $78.

June 11: Adult Education: Jazz Singing Intensive – The Secrets of Scat Singing

Local jazz singer and 2009 Strathmore Artist in Residence Lena Seikaly teaches techniques and tips on scat singing, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. $60.

Relax and sip some tea while enjoying sounds of local musicians playing soothing music at  Strathmore mansion. Reservations are being accepted for the 1 p.m. tea time both days. June 14 is a "Specialty Tea/Author's Tea," along with musical guest Sue Richards on harp. On June 15, the musical guests will be Octtava Piano Duo Hsien-Ann Meng & Wei-Der Huang. June 15 (evening): Art After Hours

This week's artists are trombonist Jen Krupa and saxophonist Leigh Pilzer, continuing the tradition of jazz collaboration by performing imaginative treatments of jazz standards, selections from the Great American Songbook and original compositions. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Mansion; tickets are $15.
