Kensington Teens' Art Featured In Washington Post Contest

Local kids make marshmallow art out of Easter Peeps.

Two Kensington teens had their Easter-themed art featured in The Washington Post Thursday.

Sarah Banaszewski, 12, and her sister Lauren, 14, put together a diorama made of Peeps, or Easter-themed marshmallow treats, and entered their art in The Washington Post's annual contest. Their diorama was based off Dr. Seuss' The Lorax.

According to the Post, the sisters have entered the contest the last three years. Their mother, Patti, helps them make sure the sweet treats stay securely in place.
