Kensington Patch wants to hear about the hard work the kids are doing in school and in the community. Each week, we'll will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups and teenagers who wow us with their accomplishments. is an Einstein student who won the Montgomery County debate championship (breaking Walter Johnson's seven-year winning streak) and is awaiting on an acceptance letter from her No. 1 choice university, Vanderbilt, where she hopes to pursue a degree in pre-law and economics.

Max Magoulias is a first grader at Kensington Parkwood Elementary School. He's had several surgeries because of a rare bone condition called Ollier's disease, but he returned to school almost immediately and showed determination despite his disability.

Tanya Silverstein of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School sings with an a capella group and had the opportunity to open for the Yale Whiffenpoofs, and perform in front of more than 900 people.

is a junior at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School who is the captain of a youth First-Aid Unit headquartered at the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department.

The Newport Mill Middle School Girls Basketball Team finished the season with a perfect record. For the first time in Newport Mill MS history, the girls team went undefeated with the longest winning streak.
