Frugal Family: Five Deals to Stretch the Family Budget

Welcome back to our weekly rundown of five local deals to help with your family’s bottom line. Since we do the scouting, we're saving you time as well as money.

This Presidents Day week, we scoured our local sources to come up with deals on family fashions; taking the family (or yourself) out for arcade fun and games; fabric and sewing project supplies; grocery deals; and cleaning the winter grime from your carpets. Deal: Save $5 on your next shopping trip, when you buy $20 worth of participating General Mills products. While there save more with the in-store specials, including two-for-$4 house brand breakfast cereals or shredded cheese, Ragu pasta sauce, and Fresh Express bagged salads (and instant oatmeal at an even lower two-for-$3).

Good through: In-store specials expire Feb. 23. General Mills products must be purchased in one shopping trip (also by Feb. 23).
