POOL OPERATORS NEEDED

What is required to become a Swimming Pool Operator?

Be at least 17 years of age (proof of age required)

Successfully complete a Swimming Pool Operators course approved by Montgomery County.

Have one season’s previous experience as a public Swimming Pool Lifeguard or Swimming Pool Operator. (One season is the equivalent of 520 hours.)

Pass an examination administered by the Department of Health and Human Services

(Note: Re-examination is required every three years. Applicant may choose to take a challenge exam administered by the Office of Licensure and Regulatory Services to take an approved refresher course.)
