Comedian Jimmie “JJ” Walker will headline the grand opening of the Laughter Hours Comedy Club at the Golden Bull Café in Gaithersburg Thursday in a show that will raise money for Hospice Caring Inc. of Gaithersburg.

Proceeds from tickets purchased from Hospice Caring will enable the nonprofit to continue offering practical and emotional support free of charge to terminally ill adults and children and their families and to those grieving the death of loved ones, said Executive Director Jeannette Mendonca of Damascus.

"This exciting evening with Jimmie “JJ” Walker promises to be a great new event for Hospice Caring,” she said. “Laughter is so important, it can trigger cherished memories and create new ones. We greatly appreciate this wonderful opportunity to share our program services.”

Mike Aronin and Irwin Loring will join Walker on the bill. Doors open at 6 p.m., the show starts at 8 p.m. The club is located at 7 Dalmar St. in Gaithersburg. Tickets are $25. For tickets, send an email to hospice@hospicecaring.org or call Jamie at 301-990-8903.
