On Monday, the County Council's Planning, Housing and Economic Development Committee heard a presentation on amending the building heights and densities allowed by the Kensington Sector Plan.
Under a proposal from council staff, developers could only build to maximum capacity if they could demonstrate that their project would be an asset to the town.
Projects that can't demonstrate their utility would be given smaller maximum heights and densities, which are yet to be explained.
The PHED Committee didn't take action on the plan but will take it up again when they reconvene in the new year.
What do you think about the proposal? Should the county add the rule to the plan? Vote in our poll and chime in in the comments.
