Minivan Crashes Into Gaithersburg Panera

A minivan driven by a Kensington woman crashed into the Panera Bread at 598 N. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg on Saturday.

A 62-year-old Kensington woman drove her minivan through the side of a Gaithersburg-area Panera Bread Saturday, according to a report by The Gazette.

"Blanca Ramirez, of the 11300 block of Connecticut Avenue, accelerated her Toyota Sienna over a curb and a sidewalk then through the cinder block wall of the fast-food chain shortly after 11 a.m. while attempting to park in front of the building," Montgomery County police told The Gazette.

Ramirez's Sienna created a 7-by-7 hole in the Panera Bread, at 598 N. Fredericak Avenue in Gaithersburg, and collided with two customers who were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
