Libraries to Celebrate Chinese New Year
Watch traditional Chinese lion dancers and martial arts demonstrations.
Welcome in the Year of the Snake in February at select Montgomery County libraries. The following events are all free and family-friendly.

The Washington, DC, Chinese Youth Club (CYC) will perform a traditional Chinese lion dance.
The Li Ming Company will celebrate the Lunar New Year with Lion dancers, martial arts and demonstrations of the Chinese yo-yo.

- Damascus Library, Feb. 9, 2 p.m.
The Kuang Chi Chinese School presents a Chinese New Year program including the Lion Dance, Chinese yo-yo, martial arts, calligraphy and clay figure making. The program lasts one and a half hours.
