Kensington Crime: Burglaries Reported
The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. The mention of arrests or charges does not indicate a conviction.
The Montgomery County Police Department has released a summary of major crimes occurring in the first and second district between March 5 and March 13. The following crimes in Kensington and White Flint was included in the summary:
- Police investigated the homicide of Heather Lynn McGuire, which occurred in the 10500 block of Connecticut Avenue in Kensington on Tuesday March 13 at 9:30 a.m. Police released press releases in search of the suspect, Phil Gilberti, but later found him deceased.
- A residential burglary was reported in the 11100 block of Stillwater Avenue in Kensington around 4:00 a.m. on March 13. Police said entry was forced and some property was taken.
- An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 5000 block of Orleans Court in Kensington at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday March 13. According to police, suspects attempted to enter the home, but failed. Nothing was reported stolen.
- A burglary was reported at Mama Lucia’s at 12274 Rockville Pike in White Flint over the weekend of March 10. The restaurant was broken into overnight and property taken.
