Hey Kensington, Turn off Your Lights

Earth Hour is 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Will you be turning off your lights?

In recognition of a global movement, Kensington residents are invited to turn off their lights for an hour beginning at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, for what is known as Earth Hour.

Coordinated by the World Wildlife Federation, Earth Hour is a symbolic global event meant to show concern about the environment. The WWF estimates that millions of people in 7,001 cities and towns across 152 countries participate each year.

I turned on all my lights in honor of "Let's not live like cave-dwelling Luddites afraid of progress Day."
