Developers Mark Groundbreaking at Aurora

Construction began Tuesday on the 18-story White Flint metro area residential towers.

 

 

Developers of the Aurora, a 341-unit, 18-story mixed-used property near the White Flint Metro station, began their second phase of contruction Tuesday with an official groundbreaking.

LCOR hosted a ceremony to mark the beginning of the first development beginning construction in White Flint's new sector plan.

The Aurora will have a variety of properties available from studios and one-bedrooms to two-bedroom layouts. Each home will feature gourmet kitchens, private balconies and terraces. The building will also include a fitness center, business center, pool and community gardens.

The property will also house office spaces, restaurants and retail.

DC Mud reports the property will also bring in 5,400 new jobs.

to clarify, the entire North Bethesda Center is expected to bring in 5,400 jobs. the Aurora is just one piece of the larger project, which will likely take decades to be fully built out.
