Cedar Lane at 6:38 a.m. does not appear to be "live", but traffic builds on Cedar Ln. at this time. Is it because of all the trees on Cedar that it is not included (I'd guess so). I don't see motion on any of the map and wonder how often it gets a feed (every 5 mins, e.g.,?). The map is a great resource, however.

That's a good point, Mary. The map charts traffic on major streets and highways, but not all neighborhood roads. So, while it can tell you what's happening on Connecticut Avenue or the Beltway, I don't think it tracks the Cedar Lanes and Beach Drives of the world.

Damian, with the BRAC consolidation, Cedar Lane is a mini-major thoroughfare now. Yes, the tree cover is thick, plus the beltway bridge. 6:30 to 7:30 is thick with traffic on Cedar, and evening rush hour is twice as bad. If there is a tie-up on Cedar Lane, someone out there could send Patch an update notification. EG, fallen tree, lights out or accident. Also, if it looks heavy on 355, then by extension, Cedar will be as well.
