After 27 Years, Bruno Cipriani To Close
The menswear store cites declining patronage in White Flint Mall.
Bruno Cipriani, a high-end menswear shop, will close its White Flint store after 27 years in business, according to Bethesda Magazine.
Master tailor Eduardo DePandi told the magazine it's not the economy that's forcing the closure. Fewer and fewer people come to the White Flint Mall, he said, and that's made it difficult to run a business.
Lerner Enterprises, which owns the mall, announced in November its plans to convert the facility into a mixed-use mini-town, with office space, hotels and commercial-residential buildings.
Since then, Bloomingdale's has announced it will close its White Flint store, too, which has been open since 1977.
